Tree Felling

When, where, why, and how to do it

🌳 Fruit Trees

Felling of fruit trees most often takes place during the tree's dormant period (from November 1st to March 31st). It is carried out without a permit, and trees of any height or circumference may be felled. It is not stipulated by legislation that any consent must be sought. However, if you need to fell a tree during the year, whether for aesthetic or safety reasons, contact us and we will help you.

Woody plants we can fell:

  • Walnut tree

  • Apple tree

  • Pear tree

  • Cherry tree and other fruit trees known to us.

🌲 Coniferous and Other Deciduous Trees

Coniferous trees growing outside of forests are also felled exclusively during the dormant period (from November 1st to March 31st). Felling proceeds without a permit only if the tree has a circumference of up to 80 cm at 130 cm above the ground. If the tree's circumference is greater, you must apply to the relevant authority for a permit to fell woody plants outside of a forest. This is true even if the tree is growing on your own property.

The situation is similar for deciduous trees; however, felling is not always the only condition (or requirement). Our vision is to help trees, so we always inspect the tree and propose a specific type of treatment. But if treatment is not possible, the procedure is the same, meaning felling.

In the event that a tree is dead/dry and this is noted during the summer, contact us and we will arrange the felling permit together, or we will come to the site and remove the tree as an emergency.
